Tea light holders by Aptilite

Aptilite makes 3D printed LED Tea light holders. They are designed to work with commonly available LED powered tea lights that are 1.5" in diameter and since they're made on a 3D printer, other sizes can be accomodated. These are made from PLA plastic which is compostable. They are should be kept away from heat and flame and are not dishwasher safe. All of these tea light holders are a bit less than 4 inches tall and 4 inches in diameter.

Our tea light holders have been made using an unconventional and time consuming process. The instructions used by the 3D printer have all been mathematically generated using trigonometry, geometry, and algebra in a spreadsheet and are made from one continuous bead of extruded plastic whose shape is determined by the formulas in the spreadsheet. Because they don't use standard CAD/Slicer technology, these holders will surprise anyone familiar with 3D printing.

The availability of colors depends on the filament we can purchase. The marketplace for 3D printing supplies is very dynamic and our ability to get additional product in a particular color is sometimes limited.

The Tulip: The three outside "petals" are 90 degree arcs, and the three inside arcs are 60 degrees wide.

The Pumpkin: This design consists of ten ~137 degree arcs.

The Cube: This design is not really a cube and from some angles it looks more like a hexagon. We've been known to call if a hexagon but we're trying to standardize on "cube". No trigonometry was used in the creation of this shape.

The Pineapple: The cross-section of this holder cycles between an octagon and hexadecagon and the points follow a circumference which changes based on the height of extruder during the print.

The Stacker: This holder was designed with stackable top and bottom sections. Three of them are sold as a set which can be stacked to give the appearance of a tall votive or they can be separated for use as three separate tea light holders. Just like the pumpkin, this design consists of ten ~137 degree arcs.

Multilights: These holders were designed to hold multiple LED tea lights. The tea lights flicker or change colors independently, creating a mesmerising effect.

Please contact us if you have any questions. We're very excited by the seemingly limitless design possibilities and would be happy to discuss other shapes.
